Hello Jay! I just wanted to let you know that all of the hunters in my hunting party had a great time hunting birds with you out at Prairie Sands for a glorious Thanksgiving weekend 2007. Thanks again to you and also to your wife and also to your hunting guide and your assistant John for having us out there, and also thank you for all of your friendly Nebraska hospitality at Prairie Sands. All of us felt right at home staying with you at Prairie Sands.

Your lodge in Sutherland NE is much larger than I ever expected. It is very impressive inside and out, and that smaller hunting cabin out on your ranch is also very impressive. There is no way that people can possibly imagine just how nice and big your facility at Prairie Sands really is until they see it and experience it for themselves. That large and well-equipped kitchen in your lodge is set up perfectly for gourmet cooking and entertaining your guests, and there is also plenty of sleeping rooms at the lodge to accommodate larger groups comfortably. I was very impressed by everything that I saw and did at Prairie Sands that weekend. It was also apparent to every one of us that you are very serious about entertaining your guests, and I am now sure that all of your guests at Prairie Sands are taken care of very well, and I would not hesitate to recommend the bird hunting at Prairie sands to anyone.

It was also great hunting birds with all of your well-trained bird hunting dogs like Max. Those bird hunting dogs were pointing and flushing out birds for us tirelessly all day long. It makes bird hunting so much more enjoyable hunting with that group of well trained bird hunting dogs, and watching those bird dogs having fun pointing and flushing out those birds for us was just amazing to me, and that was a very impressive show just watching you and your dogs working so well together out in the Nebraska Sand Hills at Prairie Sands.

All of the food we ate at Prairie Sands tasted great. The breakfasts and the awesome dinners you prepared for us were fantastic, and the food was all very well-prepared by you and your wife. Your lodge is so immaculately clean and comfortable and cozy and well appointed for sleeping and eating and hunting and relaxing, and all of us really enjoyed staying at your lodge and hunting birds at Prairie Sands. Everyone in our hunting party is looking forward to coming back to Prairie Sands to hunt more birds again, the only thing we would do differently next time is to spend more time at Prairie Sands to enjoy it all even more. Your place is just beautiful Jay!! It is truly a hunters paradise for sure.

Everyone in our hunting party had plenty of birds to shoot at, and many of the birds we shot at were very challenging shots for us. There were a few birds that got away from us, but I think we were able to get most of them eventually. Honestly, I could not tell the difference between shooting birds at Prairie Sands and shooting at wild birds, if there is any actual difference at all. And then after you and your wife cleaned all of the birds for us while we were relaxing after our hunts, and then after you also carefully packaged up all of the meat for us so that everyone in our hunting party had plenty of meat to take back home with them to enjoy from a very successful Nebraska bird hunting weekend. I cannot even imagine a finer bird hunting experience than we had at Prairie Sands for Thanksgiving 2007, and I enjoyed all of your hospitality and I greatly respect all of your hunting expertise Jay. Thanks again for everything that you all did for us out there. It was a real great time for us, and I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation. Jay, attached are photos of Boone. My girlfriend and I came from Denver and bought him about 3 1/2 years ago from you. He was from a litter of nine from Prairie Sands Ollicott. I had him trained professionally because I was so busy with my job. He is one hell of a hunter. My Dad who has bird hunted his entire life with a lot of dogs says he is the most intense hunter he has ever seen. Believe me he keeps me on my toes. That's what I get for picking the runt of the litter. I am still looking at trying to get him into field trials. I am definitely going to breed him but not too many English Pointers here in Jackson Hole. Hope all is well. Zach.

Wow! What a great time we had. Very impressed. Prairie Sands is a very professional organization that will do anything to accommodate your needs and to make sure the hunt is exactly what you want in a guided hunt. Everybody was very friendly and we feel we made friends for a lifetime. The birds were incredible, challenging and numerous. Chukar are a blast. The accommodations and atmosphere are exceptional. As an older hunter with leg and knee problems who very much still loves chasing those flying rooster rockets, I can still hunt them and other upland birds at Prairie Sands Hunting with ease.

The rolling sandhills in this part of Nebraska allow this "OL GOLDEN OLDIE" to enjoy the dogs, birds and my old double guns for years to come!

I have hunted both wild and pen raised birds over many years in several states. The birds at Prairie Sands are difficult to tell from the ones we walk up on public hunting land with one exception, at Prairie Sands we get 20-30 shots per day verses 1-2 shot per day on public land.
